Recipe cards with a little Fuji flair!

in Printables

Hi everyone! It's me Lolly of LollyChops.com and I am thrilled to be back AGAIN as a guest of LFM! I guess I did ok with the little hot chocolate packs a while back so the boss let me have the reigns once more! WOO HOO… (can you say P.A.R.T.Y. Fuji's place?!?!)!

Keeping in the Fuji theme, I made some totally cute La Fuji Mama recipe cards for you guys today. They are a LollyChops speciality and come in 4 different colors! You can download these little puppies and cut them out for your very own Fuji Flair!

But first….
I have a little story to tell (well there is nothing little about it really… I can talk the ears off a caterpillar (seriously folks)). I want to let you know how LFM and I first met! It was just a few months ago (seems like we have known each other since birth at this point)! I cannot remember who left a comment on who's blog first… but I do remember her comment on mine (I was new to blo
gging and each and every single comment was like finding a diamond in murky waters – oh heck – who am I kidding – they still are as exciting to me and I think they always will be!)!!

It was on this post HERE and LFM said: "I can't believe you are getting that reaction to that necklace! I think it's absolutely GORGEOUS and would wear one just like it in a heart beat. I LOVE the color combo."

You see, I had made a bunch of jewelry to sell on Etsy (figuring like so many others that I was going to be able to quit my day job and craft for the rest of my life!)…ha.ha. Sadly it was not meant to be! I only sold one piece and decided to try a different approach to crafting (basically crafting for me and me alone – with no goals to sell anything! It totally worked and took the burden off of the "I must sell something" pressure). Whew…

Since Etsy was out, I had to get rid of all that jewelry somehow… so I posted a picture of it on my blog (thinking it was dog ugly) and low and behold – folks out there liked it – so what did I do? I started giving it away! I mean heck… why not right?

After that first comment I started stalking LFM's blog and leaving her loads of comments hoping she would come back – and strangely enough she did!!! Her and I hit it off right from the get go. We have since found that we have loads in common and actually talk on the phone once a week (isn't the Internet fantastic for bringing folks together like that!?!?!). I know I had better settle in for the long haul when we talk though, cause it's usually a marathon session (like two long lost friends who have not spoken in eons)!!! I really cherish the friendship we have formed and have my little blog to thank for it!!!

So that's my story and I am sticking to it (see… it wasn't too long was it???).

All of those little Fuji recipe cards sprinkled about are available for your download, print and cutting out pleasure! …and all are 4×6 inches and are in PDF format.

Thank you Fugi Mama and thank you Lolly. I ran out of recipe cards just last night and today I find these teal and pink recipe cards to download. They are so cheerful and pretty. Just in time to write down what I did to create the cornish hen glaze I made last night using the Red Chili Mango preserves I ordered from New Mexico – it takes no time at all to forget!

It is a match made in blog-world!!! That was a great story, I always love your stories!

Lolly, I had no idea you sold on Etsy! It really is hard to sell jewelry on there. Super-duper hard. I have a jewelry shop in addition to my fabric one, and it doesn’t have many sales. I think that you should give it another go… but with your graphic design!!! I would certainly pay you to design my wedding invites… hint hint!

Verry, verry, nice cherry blossom cards, Lolly! Love ’em all. Ya know, it’ll be cherry blossom season HERE in just six more weeks!

Howdy to the Chops family, and to the LaFujiMamas and the littlest Fujette!

AWW! That is such a nice story, I love it! Blogging is wonderful!

It’s funny, you have no idea how many times a week I think, “WHY doesn’t she have an Etsy store?!?” Lol! And I think all the craft companies, if they are smart, should be sending you every supply on the planet. Your tutes are awesome funny and you’re really passionate about the products you use, not to mention your following/fan club/stalker base is growing by the day. You would make a great producty-reviewer person. Then you could get your craft on for free. Oh and a tv show! LOLLY-VISION! Lolly and Order. The Lolly Stewart Show. I would so watch that!

Wonderful story, and I love the recipe cards. The complete nerd in me thinks that the different colorways would be excellent for organizing seasonal recipes. Pink for spring, red for summer, orange for fall and teal for winter. A little OCD, but that’s the first thing that sprang to my mind, HA! Thanks for the downloads.

I love the flower design on your teal cards. However, when I print out the cards, the lines turn out wavey. Can you provide me with the teal flower image so that I can print out my own blank cards?
