I used to make these with my mom when I was a young child. It was the only thing she knew how to bake, and I loved helping her.

I actually just made these on Saturday night as a mothers day treat for my mom and stepmom, then stumbled across yours on oneprettything.com! I’ve never put a filling on top though, I’ve been too scared it would take away from the yumminess of the cupcake. I made miniature ones to keep me from scarfing down a big one. It failed, now I eat two little ones in one sitting instead. Next time, I’ll make the big ones only!

ooooo nummy! You gave this recipe to me a couple years ago I think. I am going to have to try them out!! Holy cupcakes! They all look great, the shirley temple ones look like fun but I think these look most delicious!! I am going to have to try them! You rock Fujimama!
