I just made Angel Biscuits in my machine and then separated the dough out into several zip locks and did something with it each day of the week. Rolls, Twists (with spaghetti), Pigs-in-a-Blanket, Mini pizzas, sausage & cheese rolls, chicken pot pie, and then dumplings. My butt looks like dumpings at this point, but it was soooo good!

This settles it! I'm going to take my bread machine out of retirement asap - this is too good to pass up. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe (and please thank LollyChops and DadChops for us, too!)

There's just nothing like hot bread. These look simple enough that I might just go make them this afternoon. I'm not sure I can make mine look as pretty as yours do, however.

anonymous-- Yes! Here's what you do:

1. In large bowl of electric mixer, combine yeast and water; let stand 5 minutes.
2. Add sugar, butter, salt, 1/2 of the flour, and egg; beat until very smooth.
3. Mix in rest of flour, about 3/4 cup at a time, until smooth (by mixer, if not too stiff, or by hand).
4. Turn dough onto lightly floured board and knead until dough is smooth and satiny.
5. Gather dough into a ball and place in greased bowl. Let rise in warm place (without drafts) until double in size (about 1 hour).
- After it has risen, pick up with shaping in step #3 of the recipe!
- You can also follow these same steps doing it all by hand if you're willing to use a bit more muscle. :-)
