Kellie C.–Thank you so much for letting me know you made them! Having a "heavy hand" in the filling is not a problem in my book! Some of the different gyoza wrappers are slightly larger than others, as well, which can change the number you get out of a batch.

I ran across your recipe just in time for a sushi party I was having. I gave a trial run on the recipe during the week so that I could test it out.
OMG~! These are so GOOD!! I had to make 2 more batches because they kept getting eaten before I could freeze them for the party.
My party guests LOVED and RAVED about these gyozas!
I cannot wait to make these again and stock up my freezer so that I can have them whenever the urge hits.
BTW, I got 24 gyozas for each recipe batch but maybe I have a "heavy hand" when it comes to filling the wrappers. My guests did not complain.

My mouth is now watering and I'm serioulsy "home"sick! I'm going to pass that recipe onto hubby and beg him to make them for me. We brought a cheat gyoza folder/crimper back from Japan but haven't used it yet.

Yummy! My son Samy and I were reading a book on how to make Gyoza and now he absolutely wants to make it.
I am bit terrified it goes wrong but I will give it a try

FABULOUS!!! I gained about 15 pounds in gyoza weight when I lived in Japan for a summer in college. The recipe I use is ver similar to yours, except I use a dash of soy sauce instead of salt. Great recipe!!!
