What a beautiful story and tribute to your grandmother. She lead an amazing life. It's so great that you know so much about her, and have so many warm memories that will keep her alive with you always.

What a bittersweet memory. Food has a way of bringing us back to our loved ones. And food blogging has a way of surrounding you with care and support when you least expect it. All my love and prayers to you and your family during this difficult time.

	Best, Brooke

I live near Tel-Aviv and visit a lot in Germany. I liked meeting your grandma and the kids, what a beautiful life story you have' I also like your food, though at first I thought it's a Japanese Blog (because of itws name).
Good luck in your home.

I couldn't help but feel sad when I read this post, but I also had to smile. Your grandmother sounds like she was a wonderful lady and I'm sure you brightened her life as much as she did yours.

Rachael, I'm sorry you have lost your Grandma. It's lovely that you have such wonderful memories of her. She did have a very interesting and full life.
You're right that taste memories are important - home-made, fresh strawberry jam is what reminds me of my Grandma (dad's mother), as she showed me how to make it one summer when we stayed with her and Grandad.
I hope you find your lovely memories comforting. It is good to have ways to remember those we love when they are gone.
