Avocado Katsu

I just realized that a bunch of my recipes have been posted over on The Scoop and I didn’t know!  So get ready for some California Avocado recipes coming your way!  I love working with California Avocados, not only because avocados are one of my all-time favorite foods, but also because they give me great themes that I then have to create recipes for, which always push me in directions I probably would have never gone on my own.  There’s nothing like being given parameters to work within to help me think outside the box!  This particular recipe was one that I loved creating.  Tonkatsu (breaded, fried pork cutlet) was a favorite dish to go out for in Japan.  I decided we needed a lighter version and so this avocado katsu was born.  Hop on over to The Scoop to learn more about katsu and how to make this crazy delicious version!

It’s fantastic to hear that working with California Avocados has inspired you to push your culinary boundaries and explore new directions. Having parameters to work within can truly spark creativity and lead to innovative dishes. I’m excited to try your avocado katsu recipe, especially since I’m a fan of tonkatsu but would love a lighter version.
