Chocolate Addiction Fuel

in Uncategorized

Hi, my name is Fuji Mama and I’m a chocoholic.

I had to make a dessert to take to a dinner on Sunday, but I needed something quick and simple because I was going to be gone for most of the day. I ended up turning to one of my tried and true trusted favorites, Chocolate Raspberry Cake (although I made it as a chocolate cherry cake). My mom introduced me to this recipe (I blame you for my addiction Mom!). If you want something decadent, beautiful, and altogether yummy:
CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY CAKE
-Grease and flour a bundt pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177 degrees Celsius).
-Combine:
• 1 pkg chocolate cake mix
• 3 eggs
• 1 can (21 oz.) raspberry pie filling (cherry is also good)
-Stir in about 1 cup chocolate chips
-Bake for about 40 minutes. Let cool.
-Frosting:
• 12 oz. (2 cups) semisweet chocolate chips
• 3/8 cup margarine
• Heat on low until melted, stirring constantly until shiny and smooth (will be thick).
• Spread hot frosting on cooled cake.
-White chocolate glaze:
• 3 oz. white chocolate, coarsely chopped
• 1 tbsp. shortening
• Heat on low until melted, stirring constantly. Drizzle hot glaze over top and sides of cake.
If you are anything like me, make sure that you are not alone when you eat this cake, otherwise the results could be bad, very bad.

Yep, I take full credit for that addiction–and that dessert. I wish I could be there to take some off your hips, I mean HANDS.

Love,
La Fuji Grandmama

Wow. I just drolled all over my keyboard. I’ll send you the repair bill. Actually, I’ll send it to La Fuji Grandmama if she’s responsible for this problem.
