Pistachio Pine Nut Pesto

Makes approximately 1 cup

Ingredients:
2 cups lightly packed fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup raw unsalted pistachios
1/4 cup pine nuts
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
2 cloves of garlic
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric (optional)
1/4 teaspoon fine grain sea salt
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 tablespoons water, plus additional as needed

Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until it becomes a thick creamy paste. Add additional water, 1 to 2 tablespoons at a time, to thin the pesto to your desired consistency.
