Time flies…

in Uncategorized

Wow. I cannot believe how busy the past couple of weeks have been. We hopped the pond and looked at so many houses that it makes my mind hurt just to think about all of them.

Some were okay and others were just plain scary. We may have found a place, but now we’re playing the waiting game.

Lots of fingers are crossed right now in the Fuji household. Although most of our time was spent going from one house to the next, we did find some time for the important things, such as In-N-Out: Spending time with family:

And going to the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific for Squirrel:

Since getting back a couple of days ago, there has been Mother’s Day chocolate . . .

Uh, what chocolate?

I tried out a new recipe for focaccia bread which was to die for.

It was quick, easy, and yummy–that’s what I call a winning combination. Deliciously moist and chewy, with all of the wonderful aromatic flavors that come from oregano and tomatoes.

And finally, I have been feverishly working on some secret knitting and crocheting so that it would be finished to present to Miss K this morning at her baby shower.

I made these booties because I think every girl should have a pair of red shoes:

I made this hat out of a soft cotton, cool enough for summer:
And finally, the baby kimono from this book:

What have you been up to since I’ve been incommunicado?

I love the booties and Kimono – they are spectacular!! – I also love the picture of the bread – I really would love to make it – but I’m on a low carb plan at the moment – so I might just have to file that recipe for a future date.

Hope your house works out for you – what a stress I am sure! Hey btw, I tried your chicken salad recipe the other day and LOVED it! Forget the old recipes, I’m making it this way now! Enjoy your last month or so in Japan!

That Focaccia looks really tasty! I am definitely going to try that recipe, I can hardly wait to get myself to the kitchen! I do wish you would have had more pictures of your potential house, I’m excited to see what it looks like! I hope the offer goes through! — We’ll have to visit Vancouver B.C. next time you guys are here (and when we’re back as well!), they are supposed to have an amazing aquarium, it would be fun with the kiddies!

That Foccacia looks great, I can almost taste it from your photographs! I also just adore the booties and beanie. I would snap those up if I saw them in a store and I don’t even have a baby! hehe
