Hi Guys! Sorry for the long silence, but I have been sicker than sick! I have a couple of drafts sitting here waiting to get finished, but I am just not up to it. However, while I am on the mend, I want you to contemplate something for me, and if you have a thought, let me know, because I am clean out:
I was in the pharmacy last Friday picking up antibiotics and guess what the pharmacy was selling near the cash register? Cigarette lighters! Now, does that make any sense to you? Why would a pharmacy carry cigarette lighters? What happened to the “First, do no harm” principle precept of medical ethics?

Sorry to hear you’re sick. I’ve enjoyed reading your blog and have missed it. I hope you get better soon!
As for the lighter sales … they sell them like that here in the US too. Doesn’t make sense to me either.
I’ve actually seen some pharmacies selling CIGARETTES in Japan. Lighters…I guess you could justify that since most pharmacies sell mosquito coils in summer and someone buying them might need something to light them…but tobacco?! This country is so nutty sometimes!
