Interesting Factoid: In Japan there is no Tooth Fairy. When a child’s bottom tooth falls out, the child throws it up onto the roof to encourage the new tooth to grow in an upwards direction. The accompanying cry of “nezumi no ha ni torikaete kure!” (please replace my tooth with a rat’s tooth!) is a plea for teeth to grow in with the admirable strength of rats’ teeth! When an upper tooth falls out, it is thrown down into the garden with the same cry, to be sure the tooth grows down properly!
Not much to report. I am still making progress on the ripple babyghan. I am now about half way done and I had better hurry because the baby shower is one week from today!
