Last Friday la Fuji Mama household undertook the sacred duty of embarking on a pilgrimage to go and pay homage to the one who endowed the name of Fuji upon Fuji Mama’s shoulders.

Others also recognized this holy occasion, as there was an “Herb Festival” being held at the base of “the Great One” on the shores of one of Fuji’s 5 lakes. Although it was an overcast and drizzly day, there was cause for celebration, for all in attendance had the privilege of being in “the Great One’s” presence, enjoying the sweet fragrance of the lavender and hydrangea fields in full bloom, and feasting on bowls of udon and cones of lavender flavored soft cream.
After obtaining proper nourishment and mental preparedness at the festival, the household climbed into their lime green Nissan La Festa stallion, and forged up “the Great One’s” back to the 5th station.
From this point on they had to abandon the La Festa and continue on foot, for this is where the road ended. However “the Great One” told the household that their effort was enough, that they did not have to continue on that day, and that proper homage had been given. Exhausted, the household climbed back into the La Festa and wearily headed back down. Just after leaving the 5th station, “the Great One” recognized the sacrifice of the household, and the mists that had shrouded “the Great One” from view momentarily parted and allowed the household to look upon the glory of “the Great One.”
