Triple Eye Candy Friday

Random Factoid: Japan has the highest density of robots in the world. There are approximately 800,00 industrial-use robots in operation around the world, and fully half of them in Japan. That’s about 1 robot for every 310 people in Japan.

So, I have been travelling for the past week with the husband, the babe, and my parents who came for a visit! We loaded up the car and drove down to Nara for a day, then on to Hiroshima and Miyajima Island for day, and then finally to Kyoto for 2 days. We had an absolute blast. The scenery was beautiful and the weather absolutely perfect. One highlight of the trip was waiting around in Gion, Kyoto in the evening and seeing 6 geisha on their way to work. What a treat! The past couple of days have been spent showing my parents around Tokyo. Today we are leaving for Beijing, China, where we will spend 4 days. Then we will fly to Bangkok and spend a day there, and then go down to Phuket for 4 days, and then back to Bangkok for 1 more day. I am excited! I have been to Hong Kong, but never to mainland China.
As for crafting–I did finish the ripple babyghan that I was so stressed out about! I am very pleased with it. I will try and post a picture as soon as I can after our trip. Now I have to decide what project to put on the needles/hook next! Any fun suggestions?

That sounds like an awesome trip! Sorry I’ve been out of contact. I still haven’t gotten to the post office to post your last little gift. Oh well, maybe it’ll be there by the time you get home. Happy travels.
