Yes, I am still alive, and no, I did not fall off the face of the earth! I am still in the States. I am currently with the little babe in Utah visiting my mother-in-law and some other relatives. Right now the babe is making our trip even more exciting by adding in massive amounts of vomit and other less desirable excretions. Luckily I have a wonderful mother-in-law who doesn’t mind that we are transforming her clean towels into soggy stinky towels at lightening speed in an effort to keep things clean.
If you, like me, need a little break from reality, check out this little bit of fiction about one man’s visit to a kaiten-zushiya. Going out for kaiten-zushi is a favorite activity of mine. I love sushi, and eating it this way makes it very affordable.
To virtually experience sitting in a kaiten-zushi:

I will be back in Japan in a little less than a week, and then my posting will resume some regularity.

Thanks so much for the link to my blog–I will be linking back to yours and definitely visiting often! Boy, I know what you mean about being out of the habit of posting regularly–my poor blog has been languishing all summer while we’ve been in the States. We’ll be back in Japan this weekend (in Tokyo for a couple of days before heading back west–I’ll be checking your blog this week for any Tokyo-related stuff)–can’t wait to visit our fave kaiten-zushiya down the hill from our house!
Thank you so much for coming over and looking at my blog (sweets and ribbons). I didn’t think I would feel so happy about anyone reading my madness..but I really do. Thank you thank you!
