We had a good storm come through last night that blew all the gunk out of the air leaving us with a Fuji Day today! Squir
rel and I took advantage of the sunshine and drove out to Costco in search of items like diapers, formula, contact solution, and cheese.
After we got back we took a walk around our neighborhood, which tired Squirrel out, as you can see:
However, my most exciting news of the day is that Squirrel took her first steps today! She has been standing on her own (without holding on to anything) for a month and a half now, so we figured it was only a matter of time. She had been standing facing Hubby, but then she turned and walked to me–a total of 3 steps! It’s amazing how proud and excited you can be about something that we take so much for granted.
A few months ago I became curious to know whether or not I was just “talking” to myself when I was writing these posts. Appealing to my vanity I installed a service called Google Analytics, a free service offered by Google which generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a website, such as where the visitors came from, how long they stayed on the website and their geographical position. One of the interesting features provided is a keyword function which reports on what words were used in a search that led someone to my website. I have to share some of my favorites:
- “does the phascolarctos koala makes a move when something is coming”
- “candy clues”
- “foreign eye candy”
- “friday eye candy babe”
- “mt fugi women westler”
But my all-time favorite is: “wearing a sauna suit in bed” Curiously, the person who was using these search words didn’t spend any time reading my blog (according to Google Analytics). I wonder why? :-)

I’ll delurk a little because I know that feeling of putting a lot of work into your blog but not knowing if anyone is reading! My blog also shows me what search terms people have used and they’re often really funny. My favourite was “sweaters used for bondage.”
I lived in Hokkaido for a year and I just came back last March. It’s incredible how many more amenities and community events you can take part in in a bigger city!
I’m also Amy, and I’ll also delurk! I found your blog through Craftster (looking up crochet/knit projects to attempt). I have to tell you that I love it and am reading daily! My hubby, 8 mo. old baby boy, and I just moved from Utah to Marugame (Kagawa) in September, so I’m glad I found a fellow crafty US mama!
OK, so I tried intalling the program and failed… Please, please help!
Sauna suits are great for losing weight, and not just water weight. Sauna Suits are basically designed to duplicate the same effects you would get by sitting in a sauna at the health spa.
