Do you wish for your daughter’s happiness? Well today is the day to do it here in Japan. Today is Hinamatsuri (雛祭り), the Japanese Doll Festival , or Girls’ Day, held every year on March 3, the third day of the third month.
I’ll be telling you a little bit more about my celebration of Hinamatsuri later this week. But until then, you can read up on Hinamatsuri and listen to the Hinamatsuri song.

yay! happy hinamatsuri! what a fun day :) i can’t wait to hear how you spent it with your little girl.
Don’t forget to put those dolls away tomorrow, or your daughter or sister or someone won’t be able to get married at any point in the future.
Or did you know that?
hi
you and your little girl are the queen of the day
i wish you the best things
have fun !!!
Happy Hinamatsuri! I want to celebrate girls day! I’ll let Shannon eat some chocolate!
Should I be demanding presents or to be catered too? If the answer is yes, it’s okay if I missed the exact day, you know who won’t know the difference and will be too lazy to look it up.
Happy Girls Day! I was wondering if you were going to post about this. Can’t wait to see what else you’ll be posting about hinamatsuri, hope there will be some pictures.
What a wonderful tradition. Thank you for sharing! Happy Hinamatsuri to you and Squirrel!
HI. I saw the site at wikipedia on this topic. They have a set of steps with a cloth over it. How can we get the steps? Thank you.
