Post written in partnership with California Avocados.
Happy Friday! Are all my friends back east surviving the aftermath of the bomb cyclone? I’ve been watching weather reports and getting the chills just thinking about it. We are currently experiencing warmer than normal temperatures here in Utah and we have very little snow so far. January tends to be our coldest month, yet this morning I went out wearing a coat and had to ditch it by noon because I was way too hot. I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m a bit strange when it comes to the foods that sound good at various times of the year. I love eating soup during the summer and I love things like smoothies during the winter. Please tell me there are people out there who are like me? Maybe it’s my subconscious trying to will Mother Nature into changing the seasons. The grass is always greener on the other side, right? My most recent creation for California Avocados fits right into this pattern: a California Avocado Acai Bowl. But wait, before I lose you because you think I’m a crazy lady for trying to get you to eat something cold during the middle of winter, consider this: this acai bowl may be just the thing you need. Consider it a tropical escape without having to buy a plane ticket. Plus, it’s good for you and it’s delicious. (A great treat for any of you doing Veganuary!)
