Tokyo is full of lots of things, like people (12.989 million as of 2009) and buildings. But it’s filled with a lot of other things too. Check out the newest video in my Japan video series where I share what some of those “other” things are. In this video I also answer a question which plagues many a new foreigner the first time they visit Japan—How do you open those darned onigiri?

I knew Tokyo was crowded but 12 million is a lot of people in one place. I’d love to visit one day for certain. Beautiful rice balls.
Love your blog and your video! I’m going to show it to my Japanese students so they know what I’m talking about when we talk about onigiri!
I’m loving the Tokyo tour, Rachael!
you’re such a cutie pie- nobody but nobody could take a bite so carefully and with so much grace.
Great video, but it made me so hungry for Japanese food that I’m about to eat plain tofu straight out of my fridge…
Loving the video series! And why don’t you have your own show yet ; )
I Love onigiri, and so do my daughters. But I never succeed wrapping the triangles in seaweed like this :s
I can see where Squirrell and Bug get their kawaii-ness from ^_^ watching this video makes me nostalgic, I used to walk by Shibuya every single day *sigh* love the sound effect when you bit into that crisp nori… Craving an onigiri now! XOXO
I love you and all your fabulous talent! One day you are going to be my tour guide in Japan…please!? I love seeing it through your eyes.
Oh my indeed! Love this.
