steamed peanut butter and jelly buns

So now that I’ve opened up the steamed bun floodgate, I can’t help myself!  Today I’m sharing a recipe for Steamed Peanut Butter and Jelly Buns (aka, PB&J Man) over on The Family Kitchen.  These steamed buns are a fun new twist on the classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and would make a fantastic addition to a packed lunch on Valentine’s Day.  Even better? They’re even easier to make than the nikuman (Japanese steamed pork buns) I wrote about in my last post.  For these, you make a simple bread dough in your bread machine.  Already easier, right?  In addition, this dough is easier to work with than the classic steamed bun dough, making it so that your kids can even help you make these if you want!  So head on over and grab my recipe for PB&J Man, but just be forewarned that these steamed buns are highly addictive!

This is such a great way to introduce a ‘new’ food in a familiar way for some of the pickier eaters! Who doesn’t love PB&J??

@[email protected], Hi Krista, Yes, you can freeze these! Then just re-steam them to defrost!
